SMS registration is a mandatory process for businesses that send Application-to-Person (A2P) text messages in the U.S. This registration ensures compliance with carrier regulations, enhances message deliverability, and reduces the likelihood of messages being marked as spam.
Key Components:
Brand Registration:
Submit your legal company name, Tax ID (EIN), industry, and contact details.
Provide a website URL; social media pages are not accepted for 10DLC registration.
Campaign Registration:

Provide sample messages and describe your opt-in process.
Ensure opt-in methods are clear and verifiable, such as web forms or SMS keywords.
Number Types:
10DLC (10-Digit Long Code): Standard business numbers requiring registration with The Campaign Registry (TCR).
Compliance Requirements:
Include clear opt-out instructions in messages (e.g., "Reply STOP to unsubscribe").
Provide a privacy policy on your website stating that opt-in data won't be shared with third parties.
Avoid prohibited content categories, such as SHAFT-C (Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, Cannabis).
Registration Process:

Await approval from carriers; processing times may vary.
