Chrome's Mic and Cam Permissions for MACs

Google Chrome updates almost constantly, and many times without warning. If you use Google Chrome for Mac, update issues can be compounded by the fact that Apple implements permissions a little differently – and sometimes more strictly – than other platforms.

If you are experiencing any of the following issues in OneCloud Meet while using Chrome for Mac, please refer to the below fixes:

  • Permissions to use your browser/computer’s audio -select ALLOW
  • Permissions to use your browser/computer’s video -select ALLOW
  • Error when trying to share your screen or browser

Under System Preferences, go to: Security & Privacy

then, select the Privacy Tab

Under Screen Recording, deselect the check box for Chrome, Chrome will close. Then, click on the check box again to select Chrome, you will be asked to quit and restart Google Chrome.

select Quit Now

Restart Chrome. OneCloud Meet screen-sharing ability will be activated.
