OneCloud Connect v3.0 Release Notes

Included in this release:

In this version of Connect we have restructured the Chat and made a lot of changes. Some small features have been removed to drastically improve performance and will come back in subsequent releases, you can find these under "Changes". It is recommended to uninstall previous versions and install a fresh version with v3.0

New Features

  1. Chat: Separated Chat and channels 
  2. Chat: Windows Notification support for new chat with mentions
  3. Chat: Add support for additional attachments in new chat flow.
  4. Chat: User can search for chats and channels

  5. Chat: User can search within a chat or channel by selecting the Down Arrow next to the room name and going to Search

  6. Chat: Markdown support for Chat formatting to include Header, Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, Spoiler, in-line code, code blocks, numbered, bullet points, and quotes

  7. Chat -> Member Info: Group member list is updated based on scrolling the chat

  8. Chat: Mark all chats as read in a channel or chat room

  9. Chat: Additional emoji libraries

  10. Chat: right click on a message to quickly add a reaction, check the read receipts or delete a message.

Improvements

  1. Chat: Mention notifications show Green now
  2. Chat: Unread count: we are displaying total unread message count instead of unread chat count
  3. Chat: Introduction to Chat Settings allowing a more customized experience

Bug Fixes

  1. Chat: time zone and time format wasn't updated based on selected format and type
  2. Chat: When a user attempts to edit a message containing attachments , the attachments are removed upon saving the edited message
  3. Chat: chat icon filled with white colour when user switch to the meeting
  4. Channel: unread count was not getting correct for channel 
  5. Call: both incoming call was ended when user decline anyone of them
  6. Call: duplicate notifications are displayed
  7. Voicemail: unread count is not displayed in left panel
  8. Meeting: User is navigated to no result found page when try to edit own schedule meeting
  9. Meeting: webcam access was given to the application but webcam was not turn on when user click on the toggle
  10. Meeting: Users disconnecting randomly when using Eero brand routers.
  11. Settings: Manage Account -> Profile Info: user is getting 500 error when try to upload a new profile image
  12. Settings: Properly follow system preferences for light/dark mode

Changes

  1. [Deprecated] Pinned Chats
  2. [Deprecated] Thread timeline. 
  3. User status in desktop versions is moved within the user information panel.
