Note: Breakout rooms require an enterprise OneCloud Connect subscription. Please reach out to your OneCloud account manager or Support if you’d like to upgrade to OneCloud Connect Enterprise.
Breakout Room Overview
Breakout rooms allow meeting moderators to create separate rooms inside the main meeting. Users can move into the breakout rooms for smaller collaboration groups. Just like collaborating in the office, users can move from room to room, giving them the flexibility to move around rooms as needed.
Start a Breakout Room
To start a breakout room, you must be a moderator of the meeting.
1. Open the Participants menu.
2 Under the list of participants, click the Add breakout room button.
3. A new breakout room is created.
Join a Breakout Room
1. Open the Participants menu.
2. Under the list of participants, click the Join button next to the breakout room you want to join.
Leave a Breakout Room
1. While in a breakout room, you can leave to return to the main room at any time.
2. Open the Participants menu.
3. Do one of the following:
4. Press the leave breakout room button.
5. Press the Join button next to a different breakout room you want to join.
6. Press the Join button next to the main room.
Remove a Breakout Room
To remove a breakout room, you must be a moderator of the meeting.
1. Open the Participants menu.
2. Under the list of participants, click the menu button next to the breakout room you want to remove.
3. Press Remove. If there are participants in the breakout room, they will be returned to the main room.
Move Another Person to a Breakout Room
To move another person to a breakout room, you must be a moderator of the meeting.
1. Open the Participants menu.
2. Under the list of participants, hover over the person you want to move.
3. Click the ellipsis menu button.
4. Under “Send participant to” select the room you want to move them to.
