Sending Faxes with SecureFax v3 | OneCloud Support Portal

SecureFax V3: Sending Faxes

In this article, we go through then entire process of sending a new fax, and all of the additional preferences/settings that are available.

Step 1: Compose

To compose a new fax, use the compose  buttons located on either side of the application.

Step 2: Sender Information



Name: Fill in the sender's name, generally this would be the name of the actual person sending the fax.
Fax Number: This is just an informational field, showing the fax number you are sending from.

Step 3: Recipients

There are two ways to add recipients: 
1. From contacts
2. Manual Entry

From Contacts

To select from contacts, simply enter the contact name, and select it from the dropdown:



The Name and Fax number fields will be filled automatically based on your selection.

Manual Entry

Manually fill out the recipient's name and fax number:


With manually entered recipients, you have the option to add the recipient to your contacts list by using the  icon to the right of the entry.

Multiple Recipients

If you need to send the same fax to multiple recipients, simply click the  button, and proceed to select recipients from your contact lists, or enter them manually.


To remove a recipient, simply click the  icon next to the recipient.

Cover Page

Optionally, you can choose to include a cover page to your fax, there are 2 options for cover pages:
1. Auto Generated
2. Uploaded file

To include a cover page, check the "Add Cover Page" checkbox:



And select the cover page type. 

Auto Generated


For Auto Generated cover pages, fill out the "Subject" and "Message" fields:



Upload

To upload a custom cover page, select the "Upload" cover page type:


And click the "Cover Page Upload" button.

Use the file explorer popup window to select the file from your computer.

Notes

You can also add notes to the fax, this is arbitrary/informational only. Whatever is entered into this field will be shown on the "Sent Faxes" page.


Step 4: Upload Documents

This step is where you actually upload the file you wish to fax to your recipients. There are some restrictions to these which are detailed below:
Supported File Types:
  1. PDF
  2. TIF
  3. TIFF
  4. Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx)
File Sizes:
  1. 5 Files Maximum
  2. 25MB file size total
Click the "Upload Document" button:


Use the file explorer popup window and select the desired file(s).

After selecting your file, you will see it in the "Preview" window on the right-hand side.
Notes
Only PDF files are supported in the preview pane.

When you're finished, it should look something like this:


Step 5: Send

When you're ready to send this fax, simply click the "Send" button located in the bottom right:
