OneCloud Connect | Sharing Your System Audio in Connect Meeting

This article explains how to share your audio while presenting your screen during a OneCloud Connect video meeting.

When sharing video content, music, or any application sound, you'll need to enable audio sharing in addition to screen sharing. The steps differ slightly between the desktop app and the browser version.

To begin, click the Start Screen Sharing button on the hot bar at the bottom of the meeting screen.

Notes
Note: The sharing options will look different depending on whether you are using the desktop app or the browser version of Connect.

On the Desktop App

You will see two options:

  • Your Entire Screen — shares everything visible on a selected display.
  • Application Window — shares a single, specific window.

To share audio, you must use the Your Entire Screen option.

1. Select Your Entire Screen.

2. Click the screen you want to share.

3. Scroll to the bottom and check Share Audio.

4. Click Share.

Notes
Note: Audio sharing is not available when sharing an individual application window on the desktop app.

On the Browser

The browser version includes a third option that allows you to share a specific browser tab.

  • Entire Screen — shares everything visible on a selected display.
  • Window — shares a single application window.
  • Chrome Tab (or equivalent in your browser) — shares only the selected browser tab.

1. Select the type of share you want: Entire Screen, Window, or Tab.

2. Click the specific screen, window, or tab you want to display.

3. Check the Also share audio (or Share tab audio) box.

4. Click Share.

Notes
Note: The audio sharing checkbox label varies by browser and by share type. Tab sharing typically offers the most reliable audio quality.
