Unsupported Modems and Routers
Below is a list of Routers and Modems that we have commonly seen issues with when using VoIP technologies.
Unsupported Gateways:
- Actiontec - any model except M1424WR (but must disable SIP ALG)
- Arris/Pace Gateways - any model number, except NVG595 and BGW210 (but must disable SIP ALG)
- Cisco - DPC Models (including DPCQ3925)
- NETGEAR - CG3000DCR
- Technicolor - any model number
- Ubee Gateway - any model number
- Verizon FiOS - G1100
- Huawei Gateway - any model number
Unsupported Routers:
- Apple Airport Xtreme
- Apple Time Capsule
- Belkin (Any)
- Cisco RV 320 and 325 series - Must be upgraded to 1.3.1.x. Any Firmware lower than this has problems with intermittently not responding to SIP INVITE messages.
- Other RV series have similar problems with no exact fixes with handling SIP properly
- DD-WRT Firmware flashed on Routers - This includes all Buffalo Routers
- DLink Dr-655 A1 / C1
- Edgewater / Edgemark (any)
- Linksys BEFSR41/81
- Linksys WRT120N WRT180 WRT160 VPN firewall
- Luxur XB4400 and related series
- Motorola Gateways (ALL) - Bridging MAY work, but we recommend a standalone modem with an approved router
- Netgear Nighthawk series (Latest firmware and Tomato firmware are fully supported - Any firmware below has had numerous reported issues and is considered unsupported)
- OnHub Router by TP-Link
- Sagemcom F@st (Any)
