Trigger an AlertBlast From a Yealink Phone

Trigger an AlertBlast From a Yealink Phone

Configure AlertBlast

Often times it may be beneficial to trigger a Blast from your desk phone. In this guide we will discuss how to do this with a Yealink phone registered to OneCloud.
  1. The first thing one must do is setup a Saved Job in AlertBlast. If you are unsure how to do this please reference this article.
  2. Next Navigate to Jobs > Saved Jobs and find the job you want to trigger from your phone.
  3. Click the "View Web" button and copy the webhook in full. You will need this in the next step.
Pasting this link into a browser will trigger the Saved Job without any confirmation or warning.
If your job has custom field variables you can add custom1=variable&custom2=variable to the webhook to customize what is sent.
This webhook can be used from many applications to trigger a job and is not unique to this use case.

Configure Yealink Device

  1. Navigate to https://myonecloud.com and login
  2. Navigate to Inventory > Phone Hardware and select the Gear next to the phone you want to add the button to.
  3. From the Button Builder select the ellipse and then "Additional Phone Settings"

  4. In the Overrides section we are going to add 4 overrides to change the button on the phone to an emergency button. Overrides need to be formated as key="value". In this example we are going to use Line Key 4 but you could replace the 4 in the key with the Line you want to use.
    1. linekey.4.label="My Emergency Button" #Pick any label that you want for the button
    2. linekey.4.line="1" #Static Value
    3. linekey.4.type="17" #Static Value
    4. linekey.4.value="https://myalertblast.com/start_job?job_id=123&auth_key=123456&confirm=no&dash=yes&custom1=2003" #Input your webhook from AlertBlast here
    5. Click Done
  5. Click Save and Resync
